Research Description
Prof. Wong's research group uses observations of interstellar gas in galaxies to understand their structure and evolution. We study primarily CO, an abundant tracer of molecular gas in galaxies, and investigate the links between molecular clouds, their surrounding galaxies, and the rate of star formation. We also use gas as a probe of the dynamics of galaxy disks.
